Valerie Fennell is an anthropologist whose work focused primarily on age and gender relations among elder communities. She has worked for Georgia State University since 1974 as a professor of anthropology and a faculty ombudsperson. The papers of Valerie Fennell chiefly document her research in Southport, North Carolina among elder communities, as well as fieldwork in Atlanta, Georgia.
