Biographical / Historical
Paul G. Babcock (1905-1976) was a painter, muralist, and mosaic artist in California. He was known for mosaic murals, portraits, still-life and desert scenes. During the depression he was employed on the Federal Art Project and created murals for public projects with his wife Alberta von Ottenfeld.
Alberta von Ottenfeld Babcock (1910-1922) was a muralist, painter, and educator in California. She worked for Disneyland, MGM Studios, and Warner Brothers. She and her husband Paul created murals for public WPA projects as well as for companies and private clients.
