35mm microfilm reels 1408-1409 available at Archives of American Art offices and through interlibrary loan.
Existence and Location of Originals
Sketchbooks were returned to the donor, Mrs. Camilla Tortorella, after microfilming.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Barile donated a portion of the papers in 1972 and 1975. His sister, Mrs. Camilla Tortorella, cleared out Barile's studio when he moved to a nursing home, and donated an additional portion of his papers October 1976.

Use of original papers requires an appointment and is limited to the Archives' Washington, D.C., Research Center. Microfilmed materials must be consulted on microfilm.
