Charlotte Berney research material relating to California artists measures 1.0 linear foot and 0.269 GB and dates from circa 1910s-2013, with the bulk of the records dating from 1980-2002. Included are artists files used in Berney's research for her writing about California art and artists. Files contain material on Anders G. Aldrin, Lee Blair, Claude and Leslie Buck, Ted Christensen, Henry Chapman Ford, Percy Gray, Armin Hansen, George Post, Joseph Schuett, Millard Sheets, Langdon Smith, John Stenvall, and John A. Dominique, as well as a general file on California art. Files consist of letters, printed and digital material, photographs, photocopies of newspaper articles and other printed material, and writings. Also included is a VHS video recording and three sound cassettes concerning John A. Dominique, and one recorded interview with Ted Christensen.

Charlotte Berney is a writer and painter in San Luis Obispo, California. Berney was a contributing writer and managing editor for the magazine Antiques and Fine Art based in San Jose, California.
