Amaylia Castaldo (1906-1987) was a portrait painter active in New York City and Chicago, Illinois. Castaldo studied at the Art Students League, the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, and privately with Leon Kroll. She was married to painter Paul Trebilcock.

The collection is available on 35mm microfilm reel 5109 at Archives of American Art offices and through interlibrary loan. Researchers should note that the arrangement of the material described in the container inventory does not reflect the arrangement of the collection on microfilm.

Amaylia Castaldo Trebilcock donated her papers to the Archives of American Art in 1982.
