Wilder, and James B. Byrnes containing correspondence with artists and organizations, financial records, annual reports, insurance reports, price lists, exhibition lists, membership lists, clippings, exhibition catalogs, press releases, art school applications, contracts, and photographs; exhibition files, 1945-1955, containing correspondence, lists of artists participating in exhibitions, artists' biographies, installation lists, price lists, drafts of catalog essays, shipping receipts, invoices, loan forms, clippings, exhibition announcements and catalogs, press releases, and photographs of works of art; calendars of events, 1936-1958, and exhibition catalogs for "New Accessions USA," 1946-1974.

Biographical / Historical
Founded 1919 as the Broadmoor Art Academy by Mr. And Mrs. Spencer Penrose. The Academy became affiliated with Colorado College in 1926 and was reincorporated as the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center in 1936.

35mm microfilm reels 3215-3234, 3295-3297, and 3459-3461 available for use through interlibrary loan.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Lent for microfilming 1984-1985, as part of the Archives of American Art's Texas project. Unmicrofilmed material was donated 1984 by Fred Bartlett, former director of the Center.
