Research and writings on contemporary art and literature for her work at Time, Fortune, and other magazines. Papers include 29 bound volumes of Constable's collected writings and articles dating from 1948 to 1967; 3 notebooks identified as "Calendar of Events" 1957-1969; six scrapbooks containing articles, 1935-1963; loose articles on art and architecture, 1951-1975; postcards, 1947; photographs and a passport.

Writer, art critic, collector; Santa Fe, N.M. Died 1995. Constable was a journalist for Time magazine, 1948-1967, where she covered contemporary culture, particularly literary and art related events. She also wrote for Fortune magazine, 1938-1947, and freelance for Vogue, New York, Life and Esquire. She was a trustee of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and a guest curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Santa Fe, N.M.
