76-page sketchbook of Anson Dickinson, 1806, containing pencil sketches and drawings of human figures, some done from life, finished drawings for engravings, and two pages of text by Dickinson on rules of portraiture. In addition, there is a pencil sketch of the "David Catlin House, Milton, Ct." and on the verso a sketch "Below the Dam, Milton, Ct." Both are by Dicknson, ca. 1800.

35mm microfilm reel 865(frames 28-82) available for use at Archives of American Art offices and through interlibrary loan.
Existence and Location of Originals
Originals returned to the Litchfield Historical Society after microfilming.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Anson Dickinson sketches and sketchbook were lent in addition to the Adelaide Deming letters, described separately.
