The Laddie Jon Dill papers measure 1.6 linear feet and date from 1960-2015. Included are preliminary works of art including drawings and other student work from Dill's student years at Chouinard Art Institute and drawings for the James Corcoran Gallery in London, by architecturural firm Max Gordon Associates; exhibition and loan files; correspondence with galleries; photographs and blueprints for sculptural projects; printed material consisting of a run of LA Times Home magazine issues that include profiles on LA artists, including Dill and gallery reviews; and biographical information including awards for Dill's charity work in Santa Monica and Malibu and interview transcripts with Dill.

Laddie John Dill (1943- ) is a leading artist of the Light and Space Movement in Los Angeles, California. His most iconic work is his series of "light sentences." Dill also made installations that combined the light sentences with sand and glass. By the late 1970s, he had moved to working with concrete and epoxy. Dill attended the Chouinard Art Institute in the late 1960s.
