Correspondence, 1932-1969, mostly personal, with Laure Ferren, his first wife, and Inez Chatfield Ferren, his second wife, and others; military papers relating to his service as Chief of Publications Section, Psychological Warfare Branch during World War II; and diaries, 1927-28, 1931-33, and 1939, with both brief and extensive entries on activities and his philosophy. Also found are family photographs; a sketchbook; personal records and résumés from his teaching career; writings by Ferren on art; exhibition catalogs, 1928-1966; clippings; and miscellany.
