Scope and Contents
Grier discusses his study of architecture at Princeton University, teachers and events that influenced him, and the Carnegie Fellowship programs designed to help American students study abroad. He recalls his work with the military during World War II recovering works of art, and speaks of museum operations especially concerning new acquisitions. He talks specifically of his activities as director of the Frick Collection.
