Interviewee Candice Groot (1954-2015) was an ceramicist, sculptor, and collector in Evanston, Illinois. She was the founder and executive director of the Virginia Groot Foundation, an organization that supports artists. Interviewer Leslie Ferrin (1958- ) is a gallerist in Cummington, Massachusetts.
