The records of the Guild of Boston Artists consist of a membership card file and related correspondence reflecting the earliest period of the Guild's existence; scrapbooks, documenting Guild activities until 1955; exhibition schedules and records of the period 1966-1978.

Reel 794: Six scrapbooks, 1914-1955, pertaining to the activities of the Guild and its member artists, containing clippings, photographs, and catalogs of exhibitions held at the galleries of the Guild and in other galleries and museums.

Reel 1373: Exhibition schedules and records, 1966-1978, including exhibition catalogs and announcements, press releases, clippings, a schedule of exhibitions 1971-1978, a 1978 Guild membership list, and 9 letters to Phyllis C. Maloney, Curator of the Guild, from the artists Dwight Shepler, Alphonse J. Shelton, and S. Edmund Oppenheim, concerning exhibitions of their work at the Guild.

The grandmother of the donor, Lilla Grew Levitt, was Lilla Cabot Perry, Boston painter, founding member of the Guild, and keeper of the membership records for the Guild.
