The Lynda Roscoe Hartigan papers measure 25.8 linear feet and date from circa 1970-circa 2000. The material documents Hartigan's career as curator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM). Lynda Roscoe Hartigan (1950- ) is deputy director for collections and research and chief innovation officer at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Canada. Hartigan was formally chief curator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C. and developed the museum's American folk art and African American art collections.
