Immediate Source of Acquisition
The donor, Winslow Ames, initially lent 9 photographs for microfilming, though later added another photograph and gave all 10 photographs to the Archives. At this time, he requested one of the original 9 photographs be sent to T.W. Johnson, Jr. of Annapolis, the Johnsons' grandson, as a souvenir.
