An interview of Lawrence Kupferman conducted 1971 June 10, by Robert Brown and Joyce Tyler, for the Archives of American Art. Kupferman discusses his studies, his work, printmaking, cinema paintings, teaching, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the art scene in Boston, the painter and the public, his family, and other artists.

Biographical / Historical

Lawrence Kupferman (1909-1982) was a painter and printmaker from Newton Centre, Mass. He was born in Boston and studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School.
