Career resume; 9 letters and memoranda; exhibition invitaitons, announcements, and catalogs; newspaper clippings; a petition to have one of Lauhakaikul's sculptures erected; and a press release announcing Lauhakaikul as the first prize winner in the 1978 Texas Sculpture Exhibition co-sponsored by the Texas Society of Sculptors and Laguna Gloria Art Museum in Austin.
Scope and Contents
The newspaper clippings and the petition deal specifically with the controversy over the selection of Lauhakaikul's sculpture design, "The Infinity of Life," to commemorate the 98 Travis County citizens who died in Vietman; the petition has the names and addresses of individuals who supported the erection of his Vietman memorial.

Sculptor, educator; born Bangkok, Thailand. Attended Silphakorn University in Bangkok where he received his bachelor's degree in fine art. Came to the United States in 1970 and earned a master's degree in art education from Massachusetts College of Art. He taught at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. before accepting professorship at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
