The League was formally established in 1932 as the League of New Hampshire Arts and Crafts, later changing its name to the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. Its goal was to encourage the development and education of the crafts of New Hampshire, to support the exhibition and display of members' works. It members number approximately 3000.
