Gallery records include subject files on artists and jewelers, business files, scrapbooks, photographs, and publicity materials such as press releases, clippings, and announcements. Personal business records and correspondence of founder Marguerite (Peggy) deSalle (Mrs. Albert deSalle) include material which pre-dates the Gallery (1931-1950).

Art gallery; Birmingham, Mich. Established 1950 by Marguerite deSalle, originally to feature contemporary art by young artists. She later offered picture framing, contemporary jewelry, and pottery.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The papers were donated by William E. Woolfenden as personal representative of the estate of Marguerite L. deSalle.
