Letters received, 1940-1967, from museum directors and curators, dealers and other collectors concerning the identification, exhibition, and sale of Magriel's collection, particularly Renaissance bronzes and American drawings, watercolors and still life paintings. Correspondents include Ira Glackens, Francis Watson (Magriel's purchasing agent in London), John Davis Hatch, Irwin Untermeyer and others. Also included are letters from Frances Hawkins about the Museum of Modern Art, 1942-1943.
