Scope and Contents
Mangold speaks of her family and childhood in New York City; her early exposure to art in Queens; attending Music & Art High School, Cooper Union, and Yale University; going to contemporary art shows; her early work and decision to paint exterior and interior spaces and architecture; her use of rulers in her work; and her influences. Mangold also recalls John McLaughlin, Eva Hesse, Fairfield Porter, Alex Katz, Catherine Murphy, and others.
