Scope and Contents
Scope and Contents
Interviews of Meyers, photographs, and an exhibition catalog document her friendship with artists Morton Schamberg and Charles Sheeler.
Scope and Contents
UNMICROFILMED: Recordings of interviews of Meyers (untranscribed). In Larry Salander's Nov. 19, 1982 interview of Meyers, conducted in preparation for a Schamberg exhibition, she recalls the artists Schamberg and Charles Sheeler, whom she knew from approximately 1908 to 1915. Meyers discusses sitting for both photographic and painted portraits, events she attended with them, and reactions to Schamberg's work. In a May 1,1982 interview with Lita Solis-Cohen and Seymour Adelman, Meyers recalls her modeling sessions for Schamberg and Sheeler, their studio, Schamberg's family and the response to an exhibition of Schamberg's work at the Pennsylvania Academy.
Scope and Contents
REEL 4397: Photographs of Schamberg (several possibly by Charles Sheeler), a group of young women, and Schamberg paintings (ca. 1977); photographs by Schamberg of Fanette Reider Meyers and Morton Meyers; a catalog for Schamberg's 1910 McClees Gallery exhibition; and a letter from Martin Diamond to Fanette Meyers (1980) regarding her Schamberg photographs.
