Primarily files on approximately 200 artists of New Mexico and the Southwest containing biographical data, inquiries from researchers and owners of paintings requesting information on artists, photocopies of correspondence between artists and the Museum of Fine Arts and others, exhibition announcements, catalogs and invitations, press releases, clippings, and printed material. Also found is correspondence of the director Edward Hewett and curator Paul Walter.
