Scope and Contents
Contains abbreviated record, 28 p., of the meetings of an association formed to purchase art collection of Luman Reed with intention of forming a permanent art museum, The New-York Gallery of the Fine Arts. In 1858 the association was dissolved and the art collection transferred to the New York Historical Society. Also included are 4 additional loose pages of minutes, and a New-York Gallery of the Fine Arts Life Membership card for F.B. Elliot.
