Biographical information includes: an invitation to join the Union International des Beaux-Arts des Lettres; diploma indicating her election as associate of the National Academy of Design; and names and addresses. Correspondence includes letters from Abbott H. Thayer, Elizabeth Bartol, George Bellows, Frank W. Benson, Aldro T. Hibbard, Jonas Lie (includes radio interview), and Cecilia Beaux. Miscellaneous writings include an essay suggesting a possible subject for her to paint; a poem dedicated to Page; two printed sheets on "Theory of Tone-Relations" by Denman Ross; and posthumous correspondence of Page's husband on her work.

Photographs are of Page, her husband, and her works; exhibition photographs; and 6 photograph albums of works. Subject files included: The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (including correspondence with William James); the Hazeltine Portrait Committee; memorial exhibitions and the posthumous disposal of Pages' works; lists of works and loan receipts; insurance policies for paintings; and unidentified tintype.

Portrait painter; Boston, Mass. Member of the conservative Boston School of Painting. Studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, with Frank W. Benson and Edmund Tarbell, 1890-1895. In 1904, she took a summer course at Harvard with Denman Ross, and she also studied informally with Abbott H. Thayer. She married Dr. Calvin Gates Page in 1896. Was charter member of the Guild of Boston Artists, active in the Copley Society, and on the Board of Visitors of the Museum of Fine Arts School.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Donated by Page's grandsons, Danforth H. and H. Gordon Fales, sons of her adopted daughter Margaret and Herbert Gordon Fales. Margaret Fales added what she believed to be the title, or name of subject, and dates on numerous photographs of works.
