Scope and Contents
A sketchbook (January 1871) contains 41 pages of pencil sketches. Subjects include annotated anatomical sketches, figure studies in action poses, and sketches of women and children, including two of Perry's daughter, Edith. A finished pencil and chalk drawing portrays her husband, Thomas Sergeant Perry (1885).

Biographical / Historical
Painter. Born in 1848 in Boston, Mass., Perry studied at Cowles Art School under D. M. Bunker and R. W. Vonnoh in Boston. She also studied at the Julian and Colarossi academies and at Alfred Stevens' studio in Paris. She died in 1933 in Hancock, N.H.

The lendor, Lilla Grew Levitt, is Lilla Cabot Perry's granddaughter.
