Scope and Contents

Scope and Contents
Photos show paintings hanging on curtained partitions in rooms with chandeliers and chairs in the center. Date based on dates of presumed activity of Photo-librairie de France, derived from search results returning photos mostly taken in the 1920s. Handwritten note on verso of one photo: Group ex. held by Whitney in Paris. Previously housed in a folder labeled "Whitney Studio Club & Museum," but based on the handwritten note on verso of one photo and location of the photographers in Paris, this is deemed to be at Whitney's studio in Paris, not the Studio Club which was located in New York.
