An interview with Gary Falk conducted 1984 Dec. 5 by Ned Rifkin, in New York. Conducted in preparation for Rifkin's exhibition "Signs", held at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in 1985. Falk talks about his current work; his use of computer generated images; his arrangement of images; his use of patterns on grid systems; the multiple meaning of images and "symbolic structure"; working with enamel and acrylic on alumnium and other media; Robert Longo's work on steel panels; and Falk's one-month residency at the Edward Albee Foundation in Montauk. Rifkin discusses the exhibition in New York and at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and a potential publication.
