The Lundy Siegriest papers measure 2.8 linear feet and date from circa 1925-1989. Biographical material contains Siegriest's resume, a eulogy prepared for his funeral, awards and certificates, and material for Who's Who In America. Correspondence is to and from Siegriest with friends, family, organizations, and colleagues. Exhibition files contain materials on the exhibitions The Siegriests: A Family of Artists and Their Work (1980-1981) and Done In The Open (1984).
Personal business records contain materials related to the sales and purchases of artwork and printed material contains exhibition catalogs and announcements, news clippings, and two scrapbooks. Photographs are personal and of Siegriest's artwork, and artwork includes a folder of drawings and a folder of sketches, some by Lundy and some by Louis, his father.

Biographical / Historical
Lundy Siegriest (1925-1985) was a painter who worked mainly in California.
Siegriest was born in Oakland, California to Louis Siegriest who was a painter, along with Siegriest's stepmother Edna Stoddart. Siegriest graduated from the California College of Arts in Oakland, and became a painter, initially starting out as a realist before becoming an abstract expressionist. He returned to the style of realism after a fall that broke his leg.
Siegriest painted Western landscapes en plein air, and often exhibited his work with his father's.
Siegriest's works can be found in the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, the Oakland Museum of California, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Siegriest died on November 13, 1985 in Berkeley, California at age sixty.
