A letter from Stern to Mark Tobey in which Stern reminisces about meeting Tobey in New York City in the early 1920's when Tobey painted her portrait, and their friendship; and a reply from Tobey thanking her, "as it was a real pleasure to read about 'Our Times'." Also included is biographical information on Stern and a photograph of her portrait by Tobey.
