Discusses his youth in the midwest; art studies at New York School of Fine and Applied Arts; life in New York; studies in Paris; Parson's School of Design; his interest in interior design; his affiliation with Tiffany's; exhibitions; and his return to France to live for seven months of the year.

Van Day Truex (1904-1979) was a painter and designer from Menerbes, France and New York, N.Y. Truex spent his youth in Wyoming and Idaho and went to New York to study art.
