Photographs of stencils, probably in connection with Waring's book EARLY AMERICAN WALL STENCILS (New York: Century House, 1937). Subjects of photographs include: stencilled interiors in 18th and 19th century houses in New England, New York, and Ohio; illustrations of the work of Moses Eaton, Jr., William Eaton, Ivers White, George Lord, Lambert Hitchcock, Jarred Johnson, Thomas Jefferson Gildersleeve, and others; and objects including chairs, trays, and decorative papers.
