Scope and Contents
A ledger, titled William Morris Hunt, presumably kept by architect and patron Edward C. Cabot, noting contributions made by Bostonians for a memorial to William Morris Hunt. The Committee proposed raising funds to purchase Hunt paintings, and to display them permanently in the "Hunt Room" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Contributions range from fifty cents to one thousand dollars. Among the signatures are Martin Brimmer, Rose Lamb and other prominent Bostonians.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Donated 1975 by Nancy Hale Bowers. The notebook had been in the possession of Bower's aunt, Ellen Day Hale, an admirer and student of Hunt.
