Biographical/Historical note
Sharon Y. Pruitt, b. 1953, art historian. She received a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University (1974), an M.A. from Howard University (1976), and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1985. She taught art history at Spelman College for three years and is presently an associate professor of art history at East Carolina University, where she has taught since 1989.
