Christraud M. Geary, b.1946, curator of the Eliot Elisofon Photographic Archives at the National Museum of African Art since 1990.
Dr. Geary specializes in the history of photography in Africa and in the study of African art. She received a PhD in cultural anthropology and African Studies from the University of Frankfurt, Germany, in 1973.
