Biographical / Historical
Colin Murray (1840-1884) took photographs for the company Bourne & Shepherd during the British Raj in India. Murray came to India as a photographer in 1867. By 1871 he had joined the firm of Bourne & Shepherd and was responsible for much of the firm's landscape and architectural work following the departure of Samuel Bourne. He died of cholera and is buried in Calcutta.
