Jo. Henry Buchi (1892-1963) was a Swiss-British economist and journalist. Influenced by the ideas of Silvio Gesell, Buchi published
Free Money
in 1933. Later he worked as the London correspondent for the Hindustan
Times
.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948), frequently referred to by the honorific Mahatma, led a campaign of non-violent resistance to British colonial rule in India that helped achieve national independence in 1947. His ideology, actions, and the success of the movement resulted in a legacy as a father of the Indian nation and a widely-admired figure throughout the world.
