Scope and Contents
Footage includes various scenes of San Francisco streets; Big Sur and Mt. Tamalpis; U.S. battleships in San Francisco harbor; embarkation to Hawaii and shipboard activities; and Pali overlook, Waikiki beach, and Diamond Head in Hawaii. Scenes in Japan include various street venues, temple complexes, and embarkation to China with shots of junks and sea vessels. Scenes in China include street activities with rickshaws and manual laborers pulling loaded carts, Locke and party being conveyed on palanquins by Chinese, and the agricultural countryside.
