Scope and Contents
Film film record and edited film, Rivalry Training Among the Pashtoon, from an effort to document the full range of pastoral nomadic activities of the Pashtoon (Pakhtun) nomads of northeastern Afghanistan. The project was a joint effort of the Smithsonian Institution's National Anthropological Film Center and the National Film Board of Canada.
Supplementary materials: photographs, correspondence, film logs, grant application materials, and administrative and production documents.

Transferred in multiple accessions: Pashtoon Nomad Research Film Project (accession 1975-006) was transferred from the National Human Studies Film Center in 1982; Rivalry Training Among the Pashtoon (accession 1986-013) was transferred from the National Anthropological Film Center in 1986.
