Scope and Contents
Film collection created by Martin Moyer primarily consists of 59 edited film titles produced and distributed for the educational film market by his independent film company Martin Moyer Productions based in Seattle, Washington. Film subjects include social and cultural studies, geography, environmental sciences, art, mathematics, forestry, and physical education.
Collection also includes ten edited films produced by Martin Moyer in the early 1950s in partnership with Charles Stinson for their production company South Sea Films based in Suva, Fiji. These ten shorts were filmed in Fiji and the Pacific Islands and document the culture of that region. In addition, the collection includes film of South Africa from the 1940s and 1950s attributed to Richard Peck.
Finally, there are miscellaneous film materials related to collaborative and sponsored projects that include film footage of India, Nepal, Europe and Africa.
