Scope and Contents
Edited film was made with the intention of showing the old and the new of India and the people, their customs and beliefs. Filmed in wide screen the film includes Bombay, Madras, Mahabalapuram (rock hewn temples and the Hill of the Holy Eagles), Mysore, Bangalore, Madura, Bhubaneshwar, Konarak, Darjeeling, Taj Mahal and the Itmad-ud-Daulah, Jaipur, Benares, Sarnath, New Delhi at night, Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, Calcutta, Tibetan dancers and the President of the Indian Republic, H.H. Dr. Rajendra Prasad and the Prime Minister Nehru with Lady Mountbatten.

Dr. Chesrow was a dentist and photographer living in Chicago. He made the film to promote cross cultural awareness of Indian antiquities, architecture, art, dance, music, the people and a new country attempting to modernize.
