This collection contains the professional papers of anthropologist Morton Klass (1927-2001) and documents his research in Trinidad and India, as well as his teaching career at Barnard College and Columbia University. The collection is comprised of books, articles, drafts, correspondence, manuscripts, book reviews, programs, appointment books, bulletins, manuscripts, research notes and classroom materials.

Morton Klass (1927-2001) was a professor of anthropology at Columbia University and Barnard College. He is best known for his interest in the anthropology of religion and consciousness and his research in Trinidad and West Bengal, India.
