Biographical / Historical
Gina Gray (1954-2014) was a printmaker and painter whose work has been featured in a one-woman exhibit at the Wheelwright Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico; in the collection of the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and in the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC. She graduated from the Institute of American Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico and attended the California Institute of the Arts, where she studied commercial art. A member of the Osage tribe, Gray owned and operated art galleries and studios in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

The print was purchased by JoAllyn Archambault with American Indian Program funds from the Osage Tribal Museum, Pawhuska, OK, circa 1995.
