This collection contains the papers of anthropologist and chiropractor C.W. Weiant and is comprised of his correspondence with anthropologist Joseph K. Long, correspondence between his wife Marian Gargett Webber Weiant and Long, manuscripts, articles, obituaries, Weiant's curriculum vitae and nine 4 x 5 inch black-and-white photographs of unclothed women depicting the "Hottentot apron" which were apparently taken by Austrian anthropologist Martin Gusinde. The materials date from circa 1975-1987.

Clarence Wolsey (C.W.) Weiant (1897-1986) was an anthropologist and chiropractor with a strong interest in parapsychology. In 1959 he delivered a paper at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association entitled "Anthropology and Parapsychology" and is considered one of the fathers of parapsychological anthropology and the anthropology of consciousness.
