This collection contains correspondence between the Los Angeles Police Department and Cellmark Diagnostics (now known as Orchid Cellmark) ; copies of autoradiographs of blood found at the crime scene; Cellmark's procedure manuals explaining how analysis was performed; evidence photographs; and reports.

Orchid Cellmark was hired by the prosecution to analyze DNA evidence from the O.J. Simpson trial. The California Department of Justice DNA Laboratory and Orchid Cellmark collectively analyzed more than 100 items of bloodstained evidence and eventually presented its findings to juries in both the criminal and civil trials.
