Scope and Contents
Meskwaki (Fox) syllabic text by Alfred Kiyana on the one who made the fire spirit, with an English translation by Ida (Snow Ball) Poweshiek. There is also a second English text by Poweshiek, titled "The story about the Indian who liked to revenge his enemies a long time ago, and what happened to him." Poweshiek's texts are dated 1924. These were collected by Truman Michelson in Tama, Iowa.
