Scope and Contents
The collection consists of two blueprint copies of drawings illustrating rock carvings and paintings at two sites near Hurley, Mexico. The drawings give the position of the petroglyphs on the rocks as well as their color and design. The first drawing is captioned: "The stone-drawings (partly chiseled with flintstone, partly painted with red-brown paint) south of the excavation, northwest of Hurley, New Mexico." The second is captioned, "All the figures are painted on the lower side of a great rock plate, as well as on several smaller rocks, lying under the above mentioned rock-plate."
