Biographical Note
William Edward Myer (1862-1923) was a Special Archaeologist with Bureau of American Ethnology from 1917-1923. He mapped, surveyed, and conducted excavations at several significant archaeological sites in Tennessee, including Mound Bottom in Cheatham County, Gordontown in Davidson County, Pinson Mounds in Madison County, Castalian Springs in Sumner County, and Fewkes in Williamson County.
