Scope and Contents
Contents: Notes by Hodge on sources for illustrations; original pen and ink drawings; photos made from, or duplicating, Bureau of American Ethnology negatives. These duplicates are expendable; they mostly show what pictures Hodge planned to use. A fourth category of original prints for which Bureau of American Ethnology has no negatives has been withdrawn (1954) so that the pictures may be filed in the Bureau of American Ethnology original print series according to tribe, and may thus be easily located when needed.
