Presented to the Bureau of American Ethnology in 1935 by Mrs Charles D. Walcott (N. M. Accession Number 138,501; N. M. Catalog Numbers 377,450-476; Bureau of American Ethnology Negative Numbers 2457-b-1--27), obtained from a delegation of Navaho Indians who visited Washington in 1935, shortly after the paintings were received.
